Who Is the Strongest Person You Know?

Is it a parent who sacrificed to give you opportunities they didn’t have? Maybe it’s a spouse or partner whose unconditional love makes you feel safe, supported, and valued. Are you reminded of a coach, teacher, or mentor who gave you the encouragement and helped you build the skills that drive your success today? Share your story about the strongest person you know for MCSR’s Wall of Strength.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary and reflect on the partners, allies, and team members who have contributed to the enduring strength of our work, we want to lift up others who have helped to shape lives and build environments of equity, respect, and love.

At MCSR, strength isn’t just a buzzword, it is the very keystone of our work with young people and other professionals, and in our public education campaigns. We view strength not as a measure of force or power, but as a quality foundational to empathy, understanding, and leadership that develops rather than dominates. In this short video, MCSR Executive Director Neil Irvin demonstrates how we use the concept of strength to teach, inform, and uncover the lived experiences that help us to acknowledge and appreciate those who embody strength and role model it for others.

Send us your story today to honor the inner strength of someone in your life and recognize their lasting impact on you and the world around them.
